Well some good news...since John has been doing well, they transferred him out of ICU to a private room that has a great view of Forest Park! Now he can go for walks, eat with us in the cafeteria and go walk around outside! He is happy! Oh ya, and mom can spend the night too now! Hopefully he keeps this room till he has his surgery. Pray for organs soon!

John's bummed out! Docs said they want to keep him in ICU until he has his surgery. It's kind of bitter-sweet. We would like him to be in a regular room so he can move around and take walks. On the other hand, in ICU we know he is closely monitored and well taken care of! They also had to remove his dialysis catheter on Saturday due to infection. They are going to insert a new one sometime today. Hurry up organs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the stomach cramps have went away! He ate solid food yesterday and tolerated it fine. He was in a good mood too! They may move him back out of ICU next week. I sure hope so. When he is in a regular room, he can get out of bed, go for walks, etc. Pray for organs!

John had a so-so day today. Had stomach cramps really bad so they did a CT scan of his abdomen. Every thing looked OK. Probably gas! Need Organs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well they moved John back to the ICU yesterday. Put him on a breathing assist device called a bipap machine and did some dialysis to remove move fluids. He seems to more comfortable now. He slept most off the day when they weren't poking or bothering him. They also started a medication to help his heart beat stronger and being on this medication also raises him up on the transplant list from a status 2 to a status 1B! Pray fore organs soon!

Another bad night for John. Had trouble breathing and kept us both up all night! Poor guy. I feel so helpless.

Still having breathing problems. Going to try and do some dialysis to remove some fluids. Keep your fingers crossed!

Johns having a good day today! He is in good spirits! We are watching the Cards game. Lets go cards! John may be raised to a level 1 status tomorrow which puts him higher on the recipient list. Keep the prayers going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John is having a little trouble breathing this morning. His O2 sats are good and lungs sound clear. They are not sure why he is having troubles. He is at dialysis now.

Started this new blog today to document John's journey to a new healthier and brighter future! I will try and update daily and any time significant events occur.
